I was in my local craft store and saw these plastic pumpkins on sale. They were the perfect size to display in my tiered tray stand, but I did not like the colors. I decided to layer on paint to give them a rich custom look. Just like how I dry brushed my chairs in a previous post, I applied the paint in layers.
There are so many ways to give painted furniture a vintage distressed look without having to take out the sander. There are times when I do not want to sand away layers of paint to reveal the wood.
