Even though the temperatures still hit the 80's during the day, Fall is here in southeast Texas! The mornings are cooling off, the leaves are falling and I found myself gathering items in my online shop that reflect the season.
The living area in my studio house is small and dominated by a long white brick hearth. At first I was unsure if I liked it, too 1980s and such. But I have found it to be an excellent staging area for my vintage items. (I must do something with that mantel, but that is for another day!)
This is how it looks with my comfortable Ikea chairs. It is a great sitting area to share with a friend. Ok, we don't drink tea when we get together, ahem.
I love this old kitchen scale and think it would look good either in a Farmhouse or Modern kitchen.
What is fun about decorating for Fall is that there are many decor items to use that have a great look and color. Rusts, oranges and browns evoke the Autumn feel and these rust painted metal letters have the right color.
